A quick charge for the rest of us

The WECC had the honor of doing the first public quick charge in CT at the new CHAdeMO port chargers in Darien, (below left) which is located just past exit 10 in the service area on southbound I-95. This is where Tesla drivers have four quick charge Supercharger spots but this is the first two of six chargers to be installed by the CT DOT and Northeast Utilities in the next few months to support all EV drivers with a standard port. Initially, the standard CHAdeMO port will be provided but soon the U.S. standard port will be added to allof these public chargers. Watch for the next pair to open on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich!

Thanks to Karl Chevrolet of New Canaan  and the Tri-Town Teachers Federal Credit Union for the new free level II charging stations at 61 Jessup Road in downtown Westport.
