V2G – Club Zoom Meeting Presentation

Learn All About Bidirectional Charging

The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) has approved a V2G (vehicle to grid) residential pilot project, offered through Eversource and United Illuminating. Participants are being enrolled now. In this meeting, Frances Bell from Bidirectional Charging, the company selected by PURA that will be providing the equipment and software for the V2G pilot, will present to the club. The discussion will cover the technical aspects of how bidirectional power flow works, the equipment, software, and interfaces required, and how this equipment can also support V2H (vehicle to home).

EVs Can Support the Grid

By charging during off-peak times and allowing utilities to tap the energy in vehicle batteries during high-demand periods, EVs can support the grid and enable it to evolve flexibly. EV batteries are much larger than batteries used for residential storage.

Join us for an informative and stimulating presentation. There will be time for Q&A.
