Where Should Streetlamp Chargers Be Placed – Survey

Survey Respondents Requested

Voltpost, Live Green Connecticut, Clean Transportation Coalition – Western Connecticut, and Capital Clean Cities of CT request your participation in their community input survey to bring Voltpost Chargers to Connecticut.

The survey is for people who live or work in any of the following counties: Fairfield, Litchfield, Hartford, Tolland, or Windham, and it will help determine the placement for streetlamp EV chargers under a pilot program.
Voltpost is on a mission to democratize charging access by deploying convenient and affordable charging across all communities. They do this by retrofitting lampposts into the Voltpost modular and upgradable charging platform powered by a mobile app. Through the generous support of Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) and the Connecticut Innovative Energy Solutions (IES), Voltpost aims to deploy 40-60 dual-port charging stations, for a total of 80-120 charging ports, at zero cost to the municipalities across Eversource and United Illuminating (UI) territory in Connecticut.
This is an 18-month feasibility study. According to the Voltpost website, lampposts can be retrofitted in about an hour to incorporate connected level 2 chargers, including cables.
Voltpost and the utilities are in the discovery phase of identifying locations. This survey provides them with community feedback to help identify prospective Voltpost locations.
We invite you to share your feedback and input by completing the Voltpost survey. While filling out the survey does not guarantee that Voltpost charging stations will be installed in your town, your responses are vital in helping us better understand local needs and prioritize future installations. Your participation will directly support the effort to expand equitable access to Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.
The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. This is the link –
The survey will be live for about 2 weeks. Please feel free to forward it to others. Public presentations of the data will be scheduled after the data are analyzed.
